Giti Pashaei was an Iranian Tar and Setar player, vocalist, and music teacher. She was born on August 21, 1924, in Gorgan, Iran, and passed away on June 20, 1996, in Tehran, Iran. Pashaei was trained in classical Persian music from an early age. During her career, she performed in various concerts and festivals in Iran, as well as in other countries, including Japan, Germany, and France. She also composed music for films and television programs. Pashaei is recognized as one of the pioneers of Persian classical music and is regarded as a virtuoso on the tar and setar. She has several albums and recordings, including "Serene Garden," "In the Realm of Memories," and "Then and Now." Pashaei's contribution to the preservation and development of Persian classical music has made her an iconic figure in Iranian music history.
